Born 11 June 1919 at Illinois to John Frederick and Sophia H Henkel, nee Onken. 1920 residing with his parents and siblings at Minonk, Woodford, Illinois. 1930 with his parents and siblings at Long Point, Livingston, Illinois. Killed aged 24 by a guided bomb explosion on USS SAVANNAH and was flown to Malta along with 25 other men for burial
