Extended Description
TYSOE Leonard 2nd Lieutenant Durham Light Infantry Transferred to the 38th Coy, Labour Corps. Born 1879 to Concreve John and Ellen. Baptised 17 October 1879 at St Mary Tewkesbury. With his parents at Barton Street, Tewkesbury. 1881 residing with his parents at Mount Pleasant, Tewkesbury. 1891 with his parents and siblings at 19 Church Street, Tewkesbury 1901, parents at same address as (1891). He was boarding at the home of George Clifton Sunley at 24 Pagoda Avenue, Richmond, Surrey, occupation, civil engineer. 1911 visiting the home of Frederick Gillott, Chartered accountant at Milton Villa, Montagu Road, Datchet, Royal Borough of Wndsor. Occupation, Municipal Surveyors Assistant. 8 October 1914 he married Hilda Amelia Balls at St Johns Lowerstoft, Suffolk. His occupation surveyor, residing at 97 Brooke Green, Hammersmith, London.
Wills and Admin Ancestry - Resided at Town Hall Hammersmith, Middlesex, 2nd Lieutenant Durham Light Infantry, died 31 May 1917 in France. Effects went to his widow, Hilda Amelia Tysoe and George Clifton Sunley, accountant.
Killed in France 31st May 1917 aged 37. Commemorated on a family memorial in Tewkesbury Cemetery. At rest in Mindel Trench British Cemetery, St. Laurent, Blangy, France.

London Gazette dated 2 April 1917. Labour Corps. To be temp 2nd Lieutenant from Durham L.I. attached 1 March 1917 to Labour Corps. No entry in Gazette relating to him in the being in the D.L.I.
