Born 7 December 1911 at Greenock, Scotland to Robert Hancock and Mary Josephine Wilson nee Hill. In the June Quarter 1946 he married Margaret M Campbell in the Registration District of Worthing, Sussex. 1939 he was residing at 44 Darlington Road, Portsmouth. with his parents. He was Leading Air Fitter RAF FX75971 and his father was a heavy gun fitter at Portsmouth formerly Pensioned Engine Room Artificer 270195 Royal Navy. Died 8th September 1953 aged 41 years. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - His residence in England was 18 Lawrence Road, Southsea, Portsmouth. Died on date stated at Royal Naval Air Station, Hal Far, Malta. His effects went to George Hill Wilson, sales manager and his sister Kathleen Mary Young wife of David George Young.
At rest in Plot L, Grave 237 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Kalkara, Malta.
His father born 22 June 1878 at Leslie, Fifeshire. Enlisted into the Royal Navy 2 May 1900 on HMS Duke of Wellington II. As Engine Room Artificer 4th Class 270195, civilian occupation fitter and turner He was discharged to pension 1 May 1922.
