- L183 EDWARD GEORGE BEDINGFIELD. Petty Officer Stoker, Pensioner. Died at Royal Naval Hospital Bighi, Malta 11th June 1929 aged 44 of alcoholism. Son of Thomas and Jane Elizabeth Bedingfield, nee Hickson. His naval record shows his name as Edward George BEDINGFIELD. Born 16th March 1886 at Birchington, Kent. Enlisted 4th October 1904. Occupation prior to enlistment, dairyman. Retired to pension from HMS Egmont, (Shore Base), Malta on the 13th October 1926. Petty Officer, Stoker 307849. Awarded Star, Victory Medal and British War Medal.
