L157 JOSEPH (GUISEPPE) TANTI. Stoker 1st Class K43688 Royal Navy on shore base HMS Egmont, Malta. Born 9 April 1879 at Zabbar, Malta. Enlisted 3 May 1917 on HMS Egmont, Malta. Civilian occupation, fireman (stoker). His widow Catarina of 51 Strada San Giacomo, Easab, Zabbar, Malta was informed of his death. Died in Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta 26 October 1918 aged 39 of heart failure following Broncho pneumonia. “This monument was erected by his disconsolate wife and children. R.I.P.”
