KNOTT, William. Private 51796, Royal Defence Corps, formerly 4285, Cheshire Regiment. Born in Manchester and lived at Hillgate, Stockport. In 1911 he was living at 62, Richardson Street, Stockport the home of widow, Grace Garnett. He was by occupation he was a whole sale greengrocer carter. Died 24th July 1918 aged 29. Buried in Buxton Cemetery, Derbyshire.
