- Kathleen BUCKERIDGE. VAD Commandant. 40 Detachment of Red Cross.
Born 1858 at Maidstone, Kent. Wife of Frank Buckeridge married 1893. Letter from Kathleen's sister Mrs E Mary Stevens, of Springhill House, Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, relating to photograph, in which she states that Kathleen was Commandant of No. 40 Berks Detachment of Red Cross, and that she died 6th Nov. 1916 from illness, accentuated by overwork at the Wantage Auxiliary Hospital.
