- K037 Violet Josephine Monica ARMES, nee Fairbrother of Vittoriosa. Wife of William Edward Armes who worked at HM Dockyard, Malta as engineer. Born 28 January 1885 at Portsea Island, Hampshire to James and Sarah Georgina Isabell Fairbrother, nee Gregory. Died 19th February 1911 aged 26 years.
At rest in Plot K Grave 37 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
Her husband was born 1 July 1881 at Curragh Camp, County Kildare, Ireland, Royal Fleet Auxiliary Ship, Reliance as Inspector of Engine Fitters, Mercantile Marine. Died 16 May 1918 aged 36 years on Hospital Ship St Margaret of Scotland from burns as the result of a petrol explosion on ship called Pebble ?. Miss F M Armes of 3 Paget Street, Gillingham, Kent was informed of his death.
He is at rest in East Mudros Military Cemetery, Greece.
