K082 Cornelius CURTIN. Engine Room Artificer M642, Royal Navy on HMS Eagle. Born 30 June 1885 at Liverpool, Lancashire to Cornelius and Catherine Curtin nee Cleary. Enlisted 18 August 1908 on HMS Vivid II. Occupation prior to enlistment, coppersmith. 1911 he was residing with his wife and son, Thomas at 33 Charlotte Street, St James Cottages, Keyham, Devonport. Occupation, Engine Room Artificer, Coppersmith aged 25. Died at Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta 2nd May 1927 aged 42 years of cerebral tumour. (meningitis) His wife was informed of his death 3 May 1927. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - His residence in England was 13 Home Park Avenue, Peverell, Plymouth. His effects went to Susannah Curtin, nee Alexander, his widow.
