K073 Antonio GRIXTI. Able Seaman 195700 Royal Navy on HMS Egmont. Born 1 January 1877 at Vittoriosa, Malta. Enlisted 19 August 1898 on HMS Hibernia. Occupation prior to enlistment, boatman. Died 30 June 1915 aged 38 years of multiple injuries caused by an explosion on torpedo lecture room at HMS Egmont along with two others named Barbara and Parsons. Son of Giuseppe Grixti, and husband of Carmela Darmanin Grixti. (Naval record spell his surname as Griseti.)
