Joseph Sidney FLAMANK. Able Seaman J8498. Royal Navy on HMS Montrose. Born 24th June 1894 at Glenelg, South Australia to Joseph and Laura Jane Flamank nee Annear. Parents were born in England. In 1901 he was residing with his parents and siblings at Crantock Street, Newquay, Cornwall. He enlisted 18th May 1910 on HMS Impregnable, occupation prior to enlistment coachbuilders and wheelwright apprentice. Died 17th February 1926 aged 31 years at Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta from appendicitis and abscess. His mother was informed of his death 18th February 1926.
