WALTON, Joseph Day. Private 2752, 1/7th Cheshire Regiment, killed in action at Gallipoli on the 10th August 1915 aged 25. He was the son of William Edward and Olive of 49, Brook Street, Macclesfield. In 1911 he was living with his father and mother, Clara, at 30, Bank Street, Macclesfield, and he was working as a silk dyer. His brother Sydney, also fell in the war.
He is commemorated on his father's memorial at Macclesfield Cemetery, Cheshire and also on the Helles Memorial, Turkey including Gallipoli.
