Extended Description: BRETT, Joseph William. Pte, 13747 Grenadier Guards died in hospital, 28 Nov 1918 aged 32 at 1st General Hospital, Dudley Road, Birmingham, Son of John and Elizabeth of Oakamoor, husband of Eliza A, nee Moore who was granted a war gratuity on the 8th July 1919. In 1911 he was in the army serving with the 2nd Grenadier Guards at Blenheim Barracks, Duke of Connaught Road, Hampshire. Buried in Uplands Cemetery, Smethwick
