JOHNSON Fred Private 33199, A Company,14th Cheshire Regiment died 11th May 1916, 22 he was the son of John and Emma. He is at rest in All Saints Churchyard, Marthall, Cheshire
Some notes from remains of his army record. He enlisted on the 27th January 1916 aged 21 years and 6 months into the 14th Cheshire Regiment. He lived at Ollerton and was a gardener. His mother, Emma was his next of kin. On the 11th May 1916 at 3 pm he died of Scarlet Fever at Military Hospital Rees Heath, Salop. His widowed mother was now living on the 7th September 1919 at Beech Cottage, Ollerton, Cheshire.
