John Talbot SHAKESPEAR. Born in 1885 to Lieutenant Arthur Talbot and Sophia Georgina Shakespear, Royal Engineers, died 3rd November 1911 aged 7 months.

At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta in Plot 1 Row 23 Grave 4.

Married 5th June 1909 at St Andrews Church, Cobham, to Sophia Georgina Eyndhoven. He was aged 24, Lieutenant with the Royal Engineers, stationed at St Francis Barracks Valletta, Malta. She was aged 22 and living at Runnymeade, Cobham. In Malta they had two children, John who died in Malta and Margaret C, born in Malta 1910. In 1911 he was stationed at St Francis Barracks, Malta with his wife In 1916, and was a Major. His daughter Joan Marion born 26th December 1916, baptised on the 7th March 1917 at St Peters Church, Yateley, Hampshire. She later joined the Royal Navy , awarded the MBE aged 26, widowed in 1984 and died 17th January 2010.
Arthur Talbot Shakespear died on the 5th September 1964 at St Pauls Hospital, Winchester. He lived with his wife, Sophia Georgina at 39 Christchurch Road, Winchester.

Joan Marion 'Molly', MBE, (née Shakespear), died peacefully after a short illness on 17th January, aged 93. Widow of Cdr Michael Rimington, DSO, RN, devoted mother of John, Richard and Buffy, beloved grandmother of seven and great grandmother to four. Private family Funeral Service. Memorial Service will be held at St Peter's Church, Petersfield at 3 p.m. on Friday 5th February. Donations in lieu of flowers please, to Great Ormond Street Hospital or St Peter's Church
