- Private 3294 John SURREY. 2nd Essex Regiment, Pompadours. He was born 1872 at Pimlico, London, to Hannah Surrey. Enlisted on the 7th July 1891, occupation, labourer, Died at Malta on the 24th January 1906 aged 34. On the 5 May 1906 his mother, brother, Edward, sisters, Jane and Eliza were granted a gratuity. This stone was erected by Officers, Non Commissioned Officers and Men of C Company .
