- John McDONNEL. Petty Officer Stoker K9465 Royal Navy (VR) on HMS Diligence. Died 6th July 1923 aged 33 years on board his ship from syphilis and heart failure. Laid to rest the following day. His sister, guardian of his children was informed of his death 7th July 1923. Naval record shows date of death as 6 July 1923. Memorial show he was laid to rest 7 June 1923. The memorial may be incorrect.
