John (Jack) WILSON. Boatswain167086 Merchant Seaman on S.S. Angelo Born 1919 at Hull, Yorkshire, resided at 58 Sherburn Street, Hull. Gave his life for his country on the S.S. Angelo, 4 August 1945 aged 26 years. Cause of death - He died from his injuries which he received when he fell into No1 hold. (The photograph on his grave shows death year as 1942)

He is classed as not a war death. Merchant Navy died in Malta 1945 (see Record of Death of Merchant Seaman)
