HOWARTH, John. Private 202562, 2/7th Lancashire Fusiliers , killed in action on the 21st March 1918 aged 22. He was the son of Thomas and Mary Ellen of 54 Selwyn Street, Leigh. He is commemorated on a family memorial in Leigh Cemetery, Lancashire and he is also commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial, Somme, France.
