John HORNBY

Extended Description
John HORNBY died in the Polar Regions, May 1927 (1880-1927)
Explorer, he is buried beside his log cabin on the
Thelon River. There are two other graves at this location one being his cousin Edgar CHRISTIAN aged 18 and a young man Harold ADLARD. They all died of starvation. He served in WW1 as Trooper 2064, 19th Alberta Dragoons

He is commemorated on his parents memorial in St Mary's churchyard, Acton, Cheshire and is buried beside the his log cabin on the Thelon River
