John HILL

Major 436889 John Peter HILL, 5th County Londonderry Battalion. He was off duty when he was shot dead by the PIRA outside his home at Daphne Gardens, Waterside, Londonderry on the 23rd February 1977 aged 45. At rest in Altnagelvin Cemetery, County Londonderry.
He is commemorated on a tree memorial plaque at the UDR Memorial Ulster Ash Grove, National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.
