- John HILL, infant son of Colour Sergeant William HILL, 2/22nd Regiment and Harriet Alice who died 4th July 1865 aged 4 months and 16 days. At rest in Msida Bastion Cemetery, Floriana, Malta.
In 1871 William, born 1819 at Holmsfield, Derbyshire and Harriet Alice Hill, born 1835 at Topsham, Devon, were living at Gallon Steps, Waterside, Knaresborough, Derbyshire with their three children. He was a Colour Sergeant with the 5th West Yorkshire Militia. 1881. William is now an army pensioner and living with his wife and children at 13 Quermore Terrace, Pendleton, Salford, Lancashire.
1891, Harriet Alice is now a widow and living at 4 Edith Street, Toxteth Park, Liverpool with her daughter Alice Annie Wylie and her husband George Wylie.
