BROOMHEAD, John. Sapper 542309, 81st Field Coy, Royal Engineers died on the 19th September 1918 aged 32 of wounds received in action and he was buried North East of Combles, France. He was the son of William and Eliza. He is commemorated on a family memorial at Macclesfield Cemetery, Cheshire and he is at rest in Rocquigny-Equancourt Road British Cemetery, Manacourt, Somme, France.
