Extended Description: Lieutenant, Lancashire Fusiliers attached to the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, died at Senlis,France on the 1st August 1918 aged 31.Elder son of John Johnstone Martindale and Jesse of "Landsown" Hawthorne Lane, Wilmslow. Commemorated on his parents memorial at Wilmslow Cemetery, and is buried at Senlis French National Cemetery, France
