JACKSON, Harry Wilfred

Major 126542, Harry Wilfred JACKSON, R.A.O.C.(Mentioned in Despatches). Died on active service in Italy 24 Dec 1943, 34 He was the grandson of John Henry and Edith Ellen Jackson and the son of Wilfred Henry and Bessie Jane Jackson, of Cirencester, Gloucestershire; husband of Phyllis Margaret Jackson, of 36 Overhill Road, Stratton, Cirencester.
He is buried in Naples war Cemetery, Italy

His father served as Corporal M2/151077, Army Service Corps, Motor Transport, in the Great War. He gave his home address as 41, Victoria Road, Cirencester and his wife as next of kin, Bessie Ingram whom he married 16th July 1908 in Fulham, London. His trade was a Blacksmith and he enlisted 14th December 1915 aged 29yrs and 9 months. He served in France
