- Colour Sergeant 24205962 Ivan Ernest HILLEN, C Coy, 6th County Tyrone Battalion.
Born 13 July 1938 at Aughnacloy, Tyrone, Northern Ireland to Samuel and Elizabeth Hillen.
He was off duty when he was shot dead by the PIRA on his border farm in Lismore, near Augher, County Tyrone. He was about to enter his piggery when two gunmen shot him eight times at close range. He was found by his wife on the 12th May 1984 aged 45. At rest in Ballygawley Churchyard, County Tyrone. Grave 339.
He is commemorated on the UDR Memorial (C.G.C.) Ulster Ash Grove, National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas Staffordshire
