JONES Isaac. Lance Corporal, 2630, 1st/7th Royal Welch Fusiliers. Died of dysentery, 3rd January 1916, aged 19 years on Hospital Ship Oxfordshire at Malta. The son of Hugh Owen and Elinor Jones, of 30 Mount Street, Bala, Merioneth He weakened my strength in the way fondly remembered by his parents.
HOLMES John William. Private, 15230, 6th Lincolnshire Regiment. Died from wounds or disease 8th January 1916, aged 22 years at Malta, whilst on active service at Gallipoli . The son of the late John Richard Holmes and Emily Barnett (formerly Holmes), of 3 Newstead Street, Maribyrnong, Victoria, Australia. Native of Cossal, Nottinghamshire. God took him from our midst, but never from our hearts.
MARKHAM Albert Edward. Private, 3/2563, 1st Essex Regiment. Died of his wounds, 8th January 1916, aged 39 years at sea on a Hospital Ship, Gloucester Castle bound for Malta. Husband of Catherine Louisa Markham, of 112 Dale Road, Canning Town, London.
