Born 1874 at St Johns Wood, Westminster, London to John Carrick and Elizabeth Bowser, nee Mannell of London. 1881 residing with her parents and siblings at 65 Chelshan Road, Clapham, London. 1891 with her parents and sister at 128 High Street, Kensington. 1901 residing with her sister, Elsie at her residence in Tachbrook Street, St George Hanover Square, London, occupation author, journalist. 1911aged 37 residing at her sister, Elsie residence, 39 Werter Road, Putney, Wandsworth, London, trading as a Nursing Home. It is recorded that Ida’s occupation was a journalist. Her sister is recorded at being a Matron and proprietor of a Nursing Home.
1 June 1915 posted to France for duty. Discharged from the VAD 19 March 1916 and died at her residence, 29 Eversfield Place, St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex 11 January 1919 aged 45 of her injuries she received while nursing in France.
Wills and Admin, Ancestry. Her effects went to her sister, Elsie Bowser
At rest in Hastings Cemetery Sussex. She is commemorated a memorial in this cemetery.
