James Charles Hyde, 2nd Lieutenant 1/5th Sherwood Foresters, late of the 1st London Scottish, elder son of Anne of 36 Kidbrook Park Road, Blackheath, London and the late Rev James Bartlett Hyde, B.A. vicar of this parish who fell in action at Gommecourt, during the Somme advance 1st July 1916 aged 21. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France
