Private 238999, Albert Leonard HOPE, 1st Herefordshire Regiment died 24th February 1917 aged 26. Son of John and Lucy of Huntly Cottage, Much Marcle. His brother Raymond John, served as Raymond, Gunner 191003, P.A.A. Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. Enlisted on the15th May 1916 at Ledbury. Occupation given as Cowman aged 18yrs and 8 months. , served in France 1916 and was transferred to Class Z at Dover on the 26th March 1919 to Huntley Cottage
