HMS Cornwallis was laid down on 19 July 1899, launched on 13 July 1901 and completed in February 1904. She was torpedoed by U 32 east of Malta and sank, on 9 January 1917.

The ARMAMENT OF THE CORNWALLIS
The main ship battery consisted of four 12in (305mm) Mk VII Guns, 40 calibres long, mounted in pairs in front and aft turrets. The second battery consisted of twelve 6in (152mm) quick-firing guns located in the casemates on the main deck, with sixteen 12pds quick-firing on the upper deck
