The Royal Navys first Offshore Patrol Vessel (Helicopter) and is the Falkland Islands Protection Vessel.
Launched in 2006, she was the first ship to be built and launched in Portsmouth since 1967. HMS Clyde is currently working-up in the river Clyde and west coast before she is permanently deployed to the South Atlantic.
