HMS Antrim and cannon holes

This was taken on either 22nd or 23rd May '82, when we were in the TRALA getting patched up by the Fleet Maintenance lads on the Stena Seaspread after the D-Day fun. The guys in the phot are a mixture of SMAC233 team (helo handlers from the ships company), the Wessex flight and a couple of the Sea Slug maintainers on the 901 deck above.

From left to right by hanger; Flight Direction Officer who was also the Education Officer on Antrim, Jim McKee, unknown, me, unknown, flight Scots guy, unknown and I think the last is Joe Crowley who was the flight deck fuel tankie, he got an MiD if I remember.

On the 901 deck, looks like Scooby Schofield and Chippy Carpenter. Chippy was part of the search party that got chased by strafing 30mm down the port side 2 deck and also found the UXB in the after heads on the 21st! Busy day for those chaps.

I used to have a clearer copy of this, that I bought from the publishers of some Falklands magazine set but no idea where it is now.
