RODERICK J Pte,[This memorial have him serving with the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry]. A search has been conducted with all the military resources available on the internet and there is no Roderick having been killed whilst serving with the said regiment. The CWGC only have 21 soldiers and the SDGW have14 listed. I have located a possibility and the details are as follows; Private 19776 James Edward Roderick killed in action 18th October 1916 whilst serving with 13th Service Battalion, Forest of Dean, Pioneers, Gloucestershire Regiment.A native Madley, Hereford ,resident in Hereford. Buried at A.I.F. Burial Grounds, Flers, France
