Herbert Leslie George DODSON. D.F.M. Flying Officer, Air Gunner 130916, 83 Squadron Royal Air Force (VR) killed in action over Berlin on the 20th January 1944 aged 25. Son of Herbert and Edith Annie Dodson; husband of Joan A. Dodson, of North Newington, Oxfordshire.

Second Officer Eric Ralph BUSBY, Merchant Navy on S.S. Nairung (London) died at sea on the 18th August 1944 aged 24. Son of Harold James Busby and Emily Agnes Busby, of North Newington, Oxfordshire.
Commemorated on the Tower Hill Memorial, London.
On the 18th August 1944 when on route to Bombay from Durban with government stores and general cargo she was sunk by German submarine U-862 offthe Madagascar coast.
