- Herbert Edwin VAUGHAN. Able Seaman 190551 Royal Navy on HMS Bulwark.
Born 1 November 1880 at Bedminster Somerset to Edwin Thomas and Alice Blackmore Vaughan, nee Stephens. 1891 with his parents and siblings at 6 Bathwell Road, Bedminster, Somerset. Enlisted aged 16 as Boy 2nd Class 13 September 1896 on HMS Impregnable. occupation, clerk. Promoted 9 September 1903 to able seaman on HMS Bulwark. He died of enteric fever in a hospital in Malta 27 July 1904 aged 24. His mother was informed of his death the 4 August 1904.
