Henry Valentine ALLEN. Leading Seaman 220459, Royal Navy on HMS Ophir. Born 23rd May 1886 at Leicester. Son of John William Allen and Sarah Maria nee Stevenson. In 1901 he was living with his parents at 14 Coral Street, Leicester. Enlisted 2nd April 1902. Died in a hospital in Malta 6th December 1908 aged 22 of a duodenal ulcer and haemorrhage. His mother was informed of his death 6th December 1908. At rest in Plot B Grave 167, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta (Unmarked burial)
