Henry Johns MEALE. Petty Officer Stoker 1st Class 284415, Royal Navy on HMS Hampshire. Born 29th October 1875 and baptised 21st November 1875 at Islington, London to Lewis William and Elizabeth Meale, nee Parsons. In 1881 he was living with his parents and siblings at 18 Norfolk Street, Finsbury, London. Enlisted 8th January 1897, occupation prior to enlistment, labourer. Died 2nd February 1912 aged 36 years of erysipelas pyelitis. In 1911 he was a Petty Officer in the Royal Navy aged 32 boarding at 110 Brompton Road, Eastney, Portsmouth, Hampshire. His sister was informed of his death 2nd February 1912.
