Harry WHITE

Harry WHITE of the 94th Regt of Foot, 5th son of Benjamin Brown Smith and Ann his wife of this parish. Having faithfully served Her Majesty in the South African Campaign and borne his part in the action at Ulundi died of fever at Fort Albert Edwd in the Transvaal the 5th day of December A.D. 1879 aged 23 years. His body rests where he died but his memory lives here in the hearts of those who loved him..
