CRANSTOUN not CRANSTOUNT (CRANSTOWN on his medal card ) Harry Samuel. Driver, 124879, D Battery, 303rd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, died 26th March 1917. He was born in 1894 at Forest Hill, London to John and Sarah Ann who in 1911 were living as a family at Olive House, Perry Hill, Catford. He was employed as a grocers assistant. His father was an army pensioner. At rest in Pieta Military Cemetery, Malta. Please note. The CWGC list Cranstoun, the memorial is inscribed Cranstount, and his medal card has Cranstown.
BOUTCHER William Samuel, Private, 8994, B Coy, 2nd, East Surrey Regiment, died of wounds 22nd March 1917, aged 21 years. The son of F.W. and M.E. Boutcher, of 16 Warfield Road, Hampton, Middlesex.
WILLIS Thomas Gunner, 5702, A Battery, 68th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, died 14th March 1917. Born in Birkenhead and enlisted at Seaforth both in Lancashire.
