Extended Description
DUNLIN Harry. Private, 12238, 6th East Yorkshire Regiment, attached Royal Army Service Corps, died 30th November 1915, aged 35 years. Son of John and Elizabeth Dunlin, of Hull, husband of Mary E. Dunlin, of 12 Alexander Street, Hull.
Some notes from what remains of his army record. He joined up on the 9th September 1914 at Beverley, Yorkshire aged 33 years and 11 months. Occupation, tanner. He was married in 1899 to Mary Elizabeth nee Cusworth and lived with wife and children at 12, Alexander Street, Hull. Their children were, Emma, born 29th October 1899 at 7, Brighton Terrace, Hopwood Road, Hull. The remainder of his children were born at 12 Alexandrer Street, Hull. Harry, born 5th June 1901, Elizabeth, born 29th March 1903, Nelson Auckland, born 17th December 1905, Laura, born 4th March 1909 and George, born 13th February 1911. On the 2nd July 1915 he embarked to join the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force. There is a very small reference, absent from 8th to 15th February 1915 while serving with the 6th Battalion. At some stage fell seriously ill with dysentery and was sent to St Andrews Hospital in Malta where he died on the 30th November 1915.

LEWIS John. Private, 3348, 1st/5th Battalion, Welch Regiment, died en route to Malta 30th November 1915. Native of Waenavon, lived in Newport, both in Monmouthshire.

STUBBINGS Herbert. Private, 2348, 1st/5th Battalion, Essex Regiment, died 30th November 1915. Born in 1896 to Arthur and Martha of Butts Green, Sandon, Chelmsford.
