Born 18 May 1896 at 26 Molesworth Street, Dublin to John Mahoney, Solicitor and Anna Maxwell, nee Gaynor. 1911 boarding age 14 at Leas Hotel, 8 Clifton Gardens, Folkstone.

London Gazette dated 18 July 1916 -
War Office, 18th July, "1916. REGULAR FORCES.
The undermentioned Gent. Cadets, from the Royal. Military College, to be 2nd Lts. 19th.
July 1916. Foot Guards. Irish Guards Harold Holmes Maxwell

Wills and Admin, Ancestry -
He was residing at Foxboro Baily, County Dublin. Died 4 April 1960. His effects went to Josephine Minnie Gaynor, spinster and James Reginald Comerford Green, solicitor.
