Hambling Leonard Alfred

Pioneer WR/336235 Leonard Alfred Hambling, Inland Waterways and Docks, Royal Engineers died 10th July 1918. and is buried at St Andrew's churchyard, Churcham, Gloucestershire.
Extended Description
He was born in 1883 at Cricklade, Wiltshire to John and Esther. In 1905 he married Ruth nee Lerigo at Ross, Herefordshire and in 1911 were residing at Rodley, Westbury on Severn, Gloucestershire. His parents in 1901 were residing at Leckhampton, Gloucestershire. He had two brothers. A military record was found for James Frank, who attested 29th August 1916 as Gunner 181980 Royal Garrison Artillery and was mobilized 24th August 1917 as Home Defence at Unit No 18 Coy Anti Aircraft Station, St Albans and was demobilized on the 10th October 1919. He was married to Evelyn nee Poole whom he married on the 28th September 1914 at St Marks church, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
