Private 97693, 122 Coy, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry) killed in action at Hollebeke, Belgium, 6th August 1917 aged 19. Youngest son of George & Sarah of Ivy Farm, Little Hucklow, Tideswell, Derbyshire. Employed as a Costing Clerk at John Brown & Co, Sheffield prior to enlistment. Commemorated on his parents memorial at Tideswell Cemetery, Derbyshire and also on the Menin Gate Memorial, Ypres, Belgium
