George Worthington JONES M.C

Major,George Worthington JONES M.C. Commanding the 1st Shropshire Royal Horse Artillery, only son of Richard Edward and Ann Elizabeth died from wounds received on active service in Flanders 10th November 1917 aged 32. he was the husband of Chrystabel of Howard Lodge, Cardiff. Commemorated on a family memorial in Shrewsbury Cemetery, Shropshire. His body rests in the British Cemetery, Proven, North West of Ypres.

The CWGC have him at rest in Mendinghem Military Cemetery, Poperinge, Belgium
