George Samuel GIBSON

Private 24205582 George Samuel GIBSON, 8th County Tyrone Battalion. He was shot dead by a PIRA sniper while of duty on his way to work at Edendork, County Tyrone on the 29th April 1979 aged 52. At rest in Holy Trinity Churchyard, Brackaville, Coalisland, County Tyrone.
He is commemorated on a tree memorial plaque at the UDR Memorial Ulster Ash Grove, National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.
