AUSTIN George Samuel Private, 9405, A Coy, 1st Kings Royal Rifle Corps, died 30th September 1902. Died at sea. He was born in Birmingham, England, joined the army on the 24th March 1896 and was by occupation a labourer. He was the son of Lucy.
COATES, Albert. Private, 2627, A Coy, 1st Kings Royal Rifle Corps, died 20th October 1902. Accidentally killed at Floriana. Born in Burnley, joined the army on the 22nd January 1900 and was by occupation a weaver. He was the son of Miles Coates.
ROWLES Henry. Corporal, 9965, A Coy, 1st Kings Royal Rifle Corps, died 16th November 1902 in Valletta Hospital. He was born at Banbury, Oxfordshire, joined the army on the 16th March 1897 and was by occupation a labourer. He was the son of George and Kate. In 1891 he was living with his parents at the Plough Inn, Banbury.
The memorial was erected by the Officers, N.C.O.'s and Men of A Company, 1st Battalion, Kings Royal Rifle Corps.
