George Northland Chichester Hamilton Alexander Macartney, Lieutenant 5544.
Born 17 August 1894 at Ingleive Glassdrumman, Saintfield to William George and Margaret Ellen Macartney, nee Porter
1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 6 Glassdrumman, Saintfield, County Down
1911 residing with his widowed mother Meta, and brother Gerald at 44 Downshire Road, Holywood, County Down. Occupation apprentice law clerk.

Second Lieut. G.N.C.H.A. Macartney, Royal Irish Rifles, is the son of the late Mr. William George Macartney, of Tonaghnieve, Saintfield, Co. Down, and Mrs. Macartney, Holywood, Co. Down. He joined the Special Reserve at Dublin in July, 1915, and left Belfast for the front on June 25th, 1916, being posted to the Ulster Division.
Died 7 June 1956 in Northern Ireland.
