MORRISON George. Private, 12804, 6th Battalion, South Lancashire Regiment, died 14th August 1915.
Some notes from what remains of his army records.
He joined up aged 20 years on the 14 September 1914 into the South Lancashire Regiment. He was the son of Robert and Susannah nee Titherington. 1901 living with his parents and siblings at 50 Hoyslope Street, Toxteth Park, Liverpool. 1911 he was living with his widowed mother, Susannah at 37 Liffey Street, Toxeth Park, Liverpool. He was posted to the South Lancashire Regimental Depot on the 14th September 1914, then posted to the 7th Battalion and finally to the 6th Battalion on the 14th August 1915. While in England he was stationed with C Company, 11th Platoon, 6th South Lancashire Regiment at Dettengen Barracks, Blackdown, Aldershot. (renamed to Deepcut Barracks). He was posted on the 13th June 1915 to the Mediterranean (Mudros) At some stage he went sick with dysentery while in Greece. He was invalided to a hospital in Gallipoli on the 24th July 1915. From Gallipoli to Imtarfa Military Hospital, Malta where he died from Bacillary Dysentery (Shiga) His mother, Susannah was his next of kin and was living in 1915 at 73 Eden Street, Lodge Lane, Liverpool. His brother, Corporal 113406 John W, Labour Corps, formerly 23160 Cheshire Regiment served and survived the war He joined 31st May 1915 demobilised 23rd September 1919 to 73 Eden Street, Lodge Lane, Liverpool.

LEVEY Frank Albert. Ordinary Signalman, J/27223, Royal Navy, HMS Submarine E7. Die the 12th August 1915, aged 17 years in the Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta from dysentery. First ship he served on was HMS Impregnable as Boy Class 2 on the 16th September 1913 and on various other ships. He was born on the 11th February 1897 at Hackney, London, occupation, office boy. Son of Robert Henry and Annie Louisa Levey, nee Pugh of 5 New Street, Braintree , Essex. Born in South Hackney, London.

SHARPE William. Trooper, 795, 2nd Australian Light Horse. Died of his wounds, 13th August 1915, aged 25 years. The son of David and Emily Sharpe, of Glenlyon, Stanthorpe, Queensland Australia.
