- Private 128917 George Mellor TURNER, 9th Machine Gun Corps, (Infantry) killed in action 22nd April 1918, 39 Interred at La Clytte Cemetery, Belgium He gave his life for others. Son of Sarah Ann TURNER now Barlow of the Roebuck Hotel, Market Place, Chapel-en-le-Frith and husband of Emma McKENZIE, formerly TURNER of 145 Chorley New Road, Bolton Commemorated on a family memorial in St Thomas A Becket churchyard, Chapel en le Frith, Derbyshire and also on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
